Suggestions/Substitutions. These meals are based on my family favorites. I’m not a dietician/nutritionist. Please make sure to find your own substitutes for any ingredient intolerances or allergies.
Don’t cook every night!. Don’t forget to add in nights for leftovers or dining out in your weeks. You can also throw in a “everyone on their own for dinner night” this usually means my husband has cereal or PB toast 🙂
Themes. I like to have some fun when cooking so I created theme weeks. You don’t have to make the exact same weeks meals as shown—skim through find the ones that you think you might like and then create your own menu.
Meal planning theme weeks:
Meal Plan 1: Easy Peasy: All meals are 30 minutes or less, use only 1 or 2 pans and are simple ingredients you may already have on hand.
Meal Plan 2: International Week. Have fun with some international flare this week. Included are cuisines from around the world. Go to Google Translate and find out how to say please and thank you in each nations language or play music from that region during dinner.
Meal Plan 3: Slow Cooker Week. All of the recipes for this week can be made in the slow cooker. Put your ingredients in as you start your day and dinner is ready to go with just a few sides!
Meal Plan 4: USA—All the way! Enjoy specialties from around the USA! From New Orleans to San Francisco, Northeast to the Midwest—no matter where you live—enjoy some regional favorites.
Meal Plan 5: What’s in The Pantry? Challenge yourself to eat from the staples in your pantry!
Meal Plan 6: One Pan/Pot Meals. Who wants to wash a bunch of pots and pans after yours’re done eating. These one pot meals make prep and clean up a breeze!
