Identity – Can others see the real you?
Last week I had the great pleasure of teaching the Pinnacle Gift course. I am always amazed at how strangers or acquaintances, can come together and know very little about each other, yet be able to see so much in each other.
One of the attendees said at the end of the day, she was also blown away with what can happen when people put down their phones, get out from behind their laptops and really connect as human beings! They were able to see each others gifts, the energy with which they spoke about their traits, helping each other focus on what brings them joy!
There were many connections made as we chatted and went through the exercises to get to our ultimate Pinnacle Gift statements.
Again – simply listening and watching other people with an interested focus, lead to a deep connection by the end of the day.
What a fun thing to be a part of – just another reason I love my job!
My husband and I watched the movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood this weekend. The film follows a reporters interactions with Fred Rogers (Mr. Rodgers). The reporter is blown away that the real Fred Rogers shows up in his real life much like the character on the TV show.
Again – simply listening and watching other people with an interested focus, lead to a deep connection by the end of the day.

Mr. Rogers immediately gave the reporter his entire focus, and started noticing the gifts and talents of the reporter. This proved to be life changing for the reporter and those in his family. It is another testimonial to showing up as the real you and also noticing gifts in those around you.
This week, I challenge you to notice a gift/talent that someone you work with has, and tell them that you see it! Something as simple as I see how you are always smiling! Think Avatar – I see you!
